Like a ghost out of time, one day in the 21st century this Lancaster bomber was captured from high above. An Avro Lancaster flying over Stukeley Meadows, Huntingdon, England, showed up on Google Earth, to the great amazement and joy of all its fans!

 

 

Even from this distance there's litte doubt that the old bomber is indeed a Lancaster!

 

 

Zooming in makes it even more clear: more than sixty years after its fighting days, the old Lanc was again contrasted against the earth below. Isn't it a glorious sight?!
